BANDCAMP FRIDAY

We’re back with another instalment of Bandcamp Friday, this time running our residents have been cooking up a storm of different sounds which are now available to purchase.

Bandcamp Friday was initiated in March 2020, when Bandcamp waived their revenue share in order to help artists and labels impacted by the pandemic. The initiative is still ongoing and for this month’s Bandcamp Friday we would like to shout about the releases from our residents.

From grunge to the delicacy of melodic notes, to choppy breaks and vocals galore, this Friday’s edition does not disappoint.

Fingathing

Where you at?

Check out this collection of unreleased material from Fingathing, previously only heard when they play out. The four track EP alludes to their ‘mutant palette’ and unique sound. Made up of band members Peter Parker who is a resident on Battlestar Mancunia – and Sneaky. This bass heavy duo are set to make you start moving, if not grooving.

Loz Goddard

Balloon Tree Road

It’s official, Ballon Tree Road is now available for purchase. Last month we had a sneak peak of ‘Orange Blue Green’ and ‘When Time Slows It Feels Weird’ from the LP, which brought melodic delight to the eardrums to say the least.

Goddard’s ability to bend and merge diverse genres together, whilst maintaining a consistent level of outstanding production shines bright throughout this LP. One to whack on to get you in the feels, be sure to listen now.

DaiSu

FBN010

Catch one ofNot Bad For A Girl’sresidents Daisu on this VA, released on March 4th by Fly By Night Recordings, a record label from Birmingham.

DJ and producer DaiSu made her debut in the Manchester music scene in 2018. She has featured on stations such as Project Radio, 1020 Radio and Threads, as well as playing for the likes of Keep Hush, Loose Lips and No bounds.

All the profits this will be donated to both Sister Supporter, a UK charity that is a pro-choice and anti-harassment organisation, and a charity to help Ukraine (to be decided).

Ad Hoc Records

Ripples by Hemanito

Ad Hoc Records have a new release going live today. The track is called Ripples and is produced by the UK DJ and Producer Hermanito, which means little brother in Spanish.

Getting us in the seasonal mindset, this spring tune is a wonderfully peaceful electronic composition of vocal samples and instrumental flare. Brightening up our day with their chilled beats, we think this tune would be perfect for a brisk walk in the sun or to get those pre-summer BBQ vibes flowing.
